We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager, who will lead our software engineering teams to continuously identify and learn from our deliveries on how to further improve our effectiveness.


What you will be actually doing? 

  • Support, invest in and develop incredible teams of talented and motivated engineers with clear expectations via practices such as 1:1s, goal setting, and constant feedback

  • Be involved in recruitment and employer brand projects to help make our engineering team stronger

  • Create growth opportunities for team members and address gaps via non-technical skills mentoring and performance management. Help make our people shine!

  • Build up a high performing and positive work environment based on transparency, accountability, and trust

  • Collaborate with the product leadership in project planning, dependency management, risk management and continuous process improvement for an optimal flow of value for customers and the business (with an appropriate use of metrics)

  • Connect with management and other teams to unblock dependencies, provide visibility and transparency to team progress on product initiatives

  • Advocate a culture of knowledge sharing, cultivate learning and avoid knowledge silos in the team

Requirements

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You have 2-4 years of experience as an Engineering Manager with people management focus
  • You have experience growing, coaching, mentoring and providing feedback to team members including having had difficult conversations

  • You have experience building and working in high-performance Agile software development teams
  • You have experience in building processes and organisational structures to support highly effective teams
  • You are passionate about people, and improving the environment in which they work
  • Demonstrated project management experience and skills
  • English professional proficiency
